“I had my first baby in March 2020 via emergency caesarean and had real concerns about my pelvic floor and core after my son’s birth.
My GP confirmed that both needed rebuilding but I wasn’t really making any progress with kegel exercises at home or with physiotherapy (over the telephone due to the pandemic).
Thankfully I eventually found Complete Core Control and the brilliant Lizzie. Lizzie taught me the hypopressives breathing technique and was very patient. She was able to quickly identify why I wasn’t quite mastering the technique and gave me different tricks to try until I eventually got it.
Lizzie is incredibly supportive, knowledgeable and so reassuring. I felt at ease straight away and felt so positive after my first session with Lizzie. I noticed an improvement in my symptoms within just a couple of weeks, which I honestly couldn’t believe! When I caught up with Lizzie a month later, the improvement was huge.
This catch-up session was incredibly useful as Lizzie spotted that I needed to make a further adjustment to my technique and I feel like the exercise is even more beneficial now. I’ve been practising hypopressives for seven weeks and I’ve gone from experiencing symptoms every day to only having them a couple of times a month. I feel much stronger and positive about the future. I will definitely be signing up for online classes to further strengthen my pelvic floor and core. I would recommend Complete Core Control to anyone wanting to rebuild and strengthen their pelvic floor and core. One of the most reassuring aspects of the Complete Core Control programme is knowing that you’re rebuilding the muscles safely whilst preventing further damage.

“Hi I’m Natalie and I’ve been attending Sarah and Lizzie’s Complete Core Control classes for over a year now. I have two children of 18 and 16 both born via Caesarean section. I suffer from urgency and frequency not because of childbirth but due to the fact I have MS.
Since working with Sarah and Lizzie I have stopped taking medication to help my bladder issues and I am slowly gaining some strength back in my pelvic floor. I’ve even run two half marathons without any accidents!

“I joined Complete Core Control at the end of January, four months after having my second child. I had a weakened pelvic floor after my firstborn, so was determined to do something about it after having my second child.
After a really helpful online consultation with Lizzie, I discovered that I was suffering from diastasis recti and learnt the hypopressive method. I have since been doing 20 hyporessives per day. I also join in with as many classes as I can, whether live or using the online library.
After just three months the difference is noticeable. My stomach is much flatter, my pelvic floor is definitely getting stronger (although there is still work to be done) and overall I feel fitter and stronger. The classes are fun and enjoyable and Lizzie and Sarah are both very approachable if you have any questions.

“My name is Diane and I am 58 years old. I had my first assessment with Sarah in May this year. My main complaint was a back problem and I was trying all sorts of different things to improve the situation- osteopath, changing mattress, stretching, pilates classes but the improvement was minimal. I also struggle with some bladder control (not all related to pelvic floor)
Since May and using the hypopressive breathing technique I cannot believe the difference and as a result quality of life. (even my osteopath is very impressed) So now I aim to do 20 breaths a day but the additional support with classes and tutorials on the internet this reinforces technique, and on not so good days knowing you can get this access videos and redefine technique is great, and that you are not on your own. My back is so much stronger and I know that my pelvic floor is tightened and engaged reducing the problem, but not totally eliminating, with control of the bladder.
